 We do ask for a donation to cover cost's of any expenses that are incurred by The-Kats-Whiskers.

All Cats/Kittens are cared for in a clean home environment and socialized with other cat's & dogs. We are not open to the public and all visit's to us are by appointment only.

I am looking for a new home, i am also vaccinated and microchipped. I need to be with people most of the day and get lots of attention. I am very loving but weary of women.

Her sister tried to take me in but her little dog was petrified of cats. I am very friendly and lovable and would be best suited to an elderly owner/couple with no children. My name is Cuddles and i am a black fluffy spayed 2 - 3yr old female and as my name suggests i love cuddles. I am very freindly and love to play. I am fully vet checked including blood tested negative for FIV & FELV. I have been through so much and would very much like to get my forever loving home soon. and i"m white/black. I was abandoned by my previous 
owner so they could fly off to a far away country for 
a new life in the sun. I am very shy and don"t realy
like other cats but i may tolerate 1 or 2 in the house. 
I don"t mind dogs as long as they are quiet 
and leave me alone. I am freindly and lovable when i get to know 
you but like to have a hiding place. I am not suitable 
to go with a young family. I get stressed very easily 
and lose some fur on my back. I am fully vet checked and 
i have tested negative for FIV & FELV. Iv'e been at The-Kats-Whiskers for a long time now and would really love a home of my own if you can give me the right home then please contact my carers. Thank you.

Hi My name is Annie, and i'm around 6 - 7yrs old 
and i was taken into The-Kats-Whiskers in mid 2009 
because my previous owner passed away. I was so 
frightened i wouldn't dare move off the stairs and 
would cringe if anyone came near or tried to touch me. 
After several months of patience, love & care i am happy 
to have a little wander round and like a little fuss. 
I still get scared sometimes so would prefer an older 
owner/couple who have no children/grandchildren at home. 
I don't like other cats but will tolerate quite dogs who
will leave me alone. If you think you could give me that home,

  Hello my name is Sugar I am about 6yrs old and a spayed female. I am not too keen on other cats but may tolerate 1 or 2 in the house. I am not suitable to go with young children but would be ok with an older family. I am quite dainty in size and can be a grumpy madam at times by having a grumble. I do like a fuss and little cuddle when I am ready for one. I also like the out doors so would be better suited to a home away from busy roads.

Ready to adopt?

Before starting the process of adopting one of our cats,

Please take a few minutes to consider how owning a cat will affect your life.

  • You could be committing to your new cat for up to 20+ years. Can you offer continued stability?
  • Veterinary fees can be expensive. You should expect to visit the vets at least once a year for a health check and vaccination. Other preventative health care measures include de-fleaing (usually a monthly treatment) and de-worming (typically a three-monthly treatment); seek advice from your vet on frequency. Pet Insurance will help with the cost of major illness and emergency treatment.
  • You will need to make arrangements for your cat when you go on holiday, this may involve boarding cattery fees.
  • Feeding a cat will cost you a minimum of £6 per week, plus the additional expense of other items such as a litter tray and litter, toys, bowls, bedding etc...
  • If you get a long-haired cat, you will need to set time aside for grooming.
