jasper has been diognosed with hcm

hi my jasper was diognosed yesterday with hcm the scans also showed he had a couple of clots in his heart, he has been prescribed fortekor, and a small asprin twice a week, the vet said it is in the early stages but couldnt tell me how long his life expectancy is likely to be he said it could be 6 months or 2 years does anyone have experiance of hcm that could tell me in plain english how this develops and what im looking for, he went in to have his teeth cleaned and they discovered heart diease, i was shocked so dident take everything in, hes going back next week for a check up thanks

           I’m sorry to hear about Jasper. I have never had to deal with HCM so could not answer this correctly for you.
