Eating Grass

Eating grass often occurs when the cat needs to clean out its stomach by vomiting (maybe to get rid of furballs!). If your cat does not have access to grass, house plants or anything similiar will be used by your cat. Vomiting will occur soon after the cat has eaten grass. It has been said that cats eat grass to obtain "Folic Acid", something that cats need in minute quantities for its well-being. "Folic Acid" cannot be obtained from meat.

My girls are indoor cats and every now and then my oldest (pip) breaks out and i find her nibbling the grass excitedly and rolling in it so i assumed that they wanted grass so i bought some organic sweet oat grass seeds and have grown it in a sort of litter tray sized tub, it is long and lush and gets nibbled, sniffed and licked every day lol, Pip adores it and just likes sitting sniffing it Huh? The dog also likes it but he goesout and can eat the gardens grass for me lol.

It is great i love seeing their little faces when they come in the kitchen and it's snacky grass time

I am also growing organic catnip at the minute, it is taking ages but i should have some to dry for winter.

I was told that grass is high in Folic acid and viatmins A,C and E and also helps the digestive tract and kidneys to function better and also it is a natural way of getting rid of hairballs and worms. I have nibbled some myself and it is.....ok actually lol
